Installed at Gilbertsville Expressive Movement, Gilbertsville, NY

This site-responsive sculpture was inspired by WW1 pre-radar listening devices that would capture sound from great distances allowing the listener to experience the amplification of the area in case of impending danger. In this case, the central point offers an opportunity to slow down, listen, feel, wait, and be in that space between spaces. The shape and placement align with the Butternut Valley in Gilbertsville NY and will capture and intensify the sound for the participant. In using the sound beyond what we can hear as a momentarily found object; capturing it, and focusing it to interact with what extends past our sight.
